Targets the ink while protecting the surrounding skin.
Medical-grade Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser technology.
A treatment plan shaped around your tattoo and your skin.
Whether you’d like to remove a tattoo completely or simply fade an old design to make way for something new, our practitioners are here to help you do it safely. We use a medical-grade Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser, which delivers a highly focused beam of light that’s drawn to the ink in your tattoo rather than to the surrounding skin. The laser gently shatters the ink into tiny particles, which your body then clears away naturally through its own lymphatic system over the weeks that follow.
Because the laser works in a fraction of a second, it limits heat to the surrounding skin, keeping the risk of scarring very low. Treatments are quick and most people feel only minimal discomfort. Every tattoo is different — its age, size, colour and how deeply the ink sits all affect how many sessions you’ll need — so we’ll always begin with a consultation to talk everything through and create a plan that’s right for you.

It’s possible to remove or significantly lighten most tattoos, though results vary with the colour of the ink. Black, dark blue and red tend to respond well, while aqua, green and yellow can be more stubborn and may only fade partially. White ink reflects the laser light and doesn’t respond to treatment. We’ll always assess your tattoo at your consultation and give you an honest idea of what to expect.
Most tattoos take between 6 and 12 sessions, though older, larger, more colourful or more intricate designs may need more. We leave a minimum of six weeks between treatments to give your body time to clear the treated ink — the process keeps working long after each session has finished.
Most people feel only minimal discomfort, and treatments are quick. If you’d prefer, a numbing cream can be applied beforehand to keep you comfortable.
In many cases a tattoo will fade almost completely, and around 95% fading is generally considered a very good result. How much clears depends on the type and colour of the ink and how deeply it sits in the skin. Modern laser technology makes the risk of scarring very low, though it isn’t zero — so good aftercare matters, and we’ll guide you through it.
Removal can start once your tattoo has fully healed. Even if it looks healed within a week or two, the skin needs longer, so we advise a minimum of six weeks. Your consultation can take place at any point during that time.
Yes. Whether you’ve had a complete removal, a partial removal or just lightening, the area can be re-tattooed — in fact, making way for a new design is one of the most common reasons people choose laser tattoo removal.
