How we Can Help
Skin ages slowly, and as the cellular machinery maintaining it slows down, it can become softer and less defined as the overall structure of the skin weakens. However, by using controlled radiofrequencies, it is possible to revert that decline and restore collagen production to the same levels as younger skin.
Using the UltraLUX PRO system, our practitioners can deliver radiofrequency light into your skin, which causes controlled heating that tightens existing collagen fibres and tells your skin to start producing more. It’s a fast procedure with little downtime that doesn’t require needles or anaesthetic, and a course helps to produce results that look natural – your skin will look like a younger and healthier version of you.

FAQs
Radio frequency (RF) treatments work by delivering radio waves into the skin and producing just enough heat there to activate cellular repair mechanisms. This is what causes the increase in firmness – the body reacts to the treatment by building new collagen fibres to hold things together. The difference between skin tightening and microneedling is how the radio frequencies are delivered.
Microneedling uses very fine needles to deposit the radiowaves deeper into the skin, which increases the level of cellular repair, but like anything involving needles, has a few days of downtime and more visible redness.
On the flipside, Skin tightening simply lets the radiowaves pass through your skin – they can’t reach as deeply below the surface, so there’s less downtime,
but the results are also less impressive as a result. One is not inherently better than the other, but they have different usecases.
Many people notice a subtle tightening straight after the first session, from the collagen fibres contracting in the heat. The more meaningful change comes later, as new collagen forms — usually building over 8 to 12 weeks and continuing to improve through a course.
It depends on the area and how much laxity there is. A course of three to six sessions is typical, and larger body areas often need more than the face. You’ll be given a clear plan and cost at your consultation before anything is booked.
Once the new collagen has formed, results typically last around 12 to 18 months, though skin does continue to age, so many patients choose a maintenance session every few months to hold onto the improvement.
Usually, yes — it works well as part of a wider plan alongside skin boosters, medical-grade skincare or anti-wrinkle treatments. Timing matters, though, so we’ll always sequence things properly and let you know if anything needs spacing out.
Most people, but not everyone. It isn’t suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for anyone with a pacemaker or certain metal implants in the treatment area, and there are some medical conditions where we’d recommend a different approach. We check all of this carefully at your consultation.
Of course — we completely understand wanting an idea of costs before booking.
