Lifts dullness and restores a healthy, radiant glow.
Targets pigmentation, sun damage and redness at the source.
Encourages your skin's natural renewal for lasting clarity.
Over time, sun exposure, hormones and the natural ageing process can leave the skin looking uneven — with pigmentation, sun spots, redness and a loss of that fresh, healthy glow. IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) skin rejuvenation, sometimes known as photorejuvenation, uses gentle pulses of broad-spectrum light to address these concerns beneath the surface.
The light is absorbed by areas of excess pigment and by the tiny blood vessels responsible for redness, helping to break them down so your body can naturally clear them away. At the same time, the gentle warmth encourages your skin’s own collagen production, improving overall tone, texture and clarity.
Every treatment begins with a consultation, where our practitioners will look closely at your skin, discuss what’s bothering you and confirm whether IPL is the right choice for you. We’ll always create a personalised plan and carry out a patch test before your first session, so you feel completely confident and cared for. Most people see the loveliest, most natural-looking results from a short course of treatments.
Softening the marks left by years of sun exposure.
Helping to even out patches of excess pigment for a more uniform complexion.
Calming the look of diffuse redness and flushing.
Reducing the appearance of visible thread veins and broken capillaries.
Reviving radiance and that healthy, lit-from-within glow.
Supporting your skin’s natural renewal to keep it looking fresh.

IPL is wonderfully versatile. It can help with sun damage, pigmentation and uneven skin tone, as well as facial redness, rosacea-prone skin and visible red veins or broken capillaries. Many people also notice an improvement in overall texture, clarity and radiance as their skin’s natural collagen is encouraged.
Yes. The light is absorbed by areas of excess pigment, helping to break them down so your body can clear them away naturally. Pigmentation often looks a little darker for a few days after treatment before flaking away to reveal clearer skin.
Yes. IPL is also absorbed by the small blood vessels that cause redness, flushing and visible red veins, helping to reduce their appearance for a calmer, more even complexion. This is sometimes called IPL vascular therapy.
Most people find it very comfortable. You may feel a light, warm “flick” against the skin with each pulse, a little like a gentle elastic band. We use cooling to keep you comfortable throughout, and there’s no need for anaesthetic.
This varies depending on your skin and the concern we’re focusing on — pigmentation, redness and overall rejuvenation can each respond differently. Many people benefit from a short course of treatments spaced a few weeks apart, and we’ll recommend a personalised plan at your consultation.
Very little. It’s normal to have some redness and warmth for a few hours, a little like mild sunburn. Areas of pigmentation may look slightly darker for a few days before flaking away naturally. Most people return to their day straight away.
Yes — please avoid sun exposure, sunbeds and fake tan for a few weeks before your treatment, and arrive with skin that is neither tanned nor sunburnt. We’ll also carry out a patch test before your first session, and share full guidance ahead of your appointment.
IPL suits many people, but it isn’t right for everyone — it’s not suitable on very tanned or deeper skin tones, or during pregnancy. That’s exactly what your consultation and patch test are for: to make sure it’s safe and right for you before we begin.
Our IPL treatments are carried out at our Exeter clinic, using the advanced, medical-grade UltraLUX PRO system.
