What is Hay Fever?

Hay fever (allergic rhinitis) is a common allergic reaction to pollen from grass, trees or weeds. For many people it means weeks of sneezing, a runny or blocked nose, and itchy, watering eyes — usually at their worst through spring and summer. It’s very common, but it can genuinely affect your quality of life, disrupting sleep, concentration and everyday comfort through the peak season.

For most people, over-the-counter antihistamines and nasal sprays keep symptoms under control. For those whose hay fever isn’t well managed by standard treatments, we offer a medically-led option that can provide relief through the peak season — suitable for some, though not all, patients.

It always begins with a consultation to check it’s suitable and right for you. During this appointment we’ll discuss your symptoms, history and the best approach for the season ahead.

Our approach is gentle, patient and completely led by you. In a private, supportive consultation we’ll talk through what’s happening and the options that may help, with no pressure at any stage.
