UltraClear® uses a 2,910nm cold fibre laser, a wavelength that is very strongly absorbed by the water in your skin. This allows your practitioner to treat very precise areas of damaged skin while keeping the heat around them to a minimum.
Once treated, your skin’s natural repair process takes over. It renews the surface and builds fresh collagen beneath it, and this continues for several months.
The depth and intensity can be adjusted to suit you. A lighter treatment may focus on glow, pigmentation and early sun damage, while deeper settings can be used for more noticeable texture, lines or acne scarring.

UltraClear® is the latest generation of resurfacing technology and a step on from traditional CO2 lasers. CO2 lasers rely on heat, which can mean a longer, more uncomfortable recovery and a higher risk of pigment changes, particularly in darker skin. UltraClear® uses cold fibre laser technology to resurface the skin with far less heat, so it can deliver excellent results with much less downtime.

UltraClear was designed to reduce unnecessary thermal injury compared with traditional resurfacing technologies, and its manufacturer supports its use across all Fitzpatrick skin types.
Suitability still needs to be assessed individually, particularly when treating pigmentation, and your practitioner will consider your skin type, medical history and treatment goals before recommending treatment.
You may begin noticing improvement as the surface of your skin heals and renews. Deeper changes develop more gradually as collagen remodelling continues.
The manufacturer advises that progressive collagen-related improvement can continue for around 3–6 months following treatment.
Does it hurt? UltraClear® is known for its comfort. 3DMIRACL® usually needs no numbing cream at all. For deeper treatments, a numbing cream keeps you comfortable. Afterwards, your skin may feel warm, like mild sunburn.
