Helen Hunt Aesthetics & Skin Care clinic offers Botulinum Toxin Type A injections are safe and effective treatment to slim arms and calves. I use precise placements of Botulinum Toxin Type A, to relax the muscles beneath the skin in your target areas.
The muscles are selectively weakened, and as a result, their volume decreases as they stop contracting with the same strength as before the injection. Furthermore, there is no restriction of the muscle activity. Hence, there is no loss of the function of the muscle. The treatment may take up to an hour. Results may take 2 or more sessions to achieve visible results. To maintain results patients need to schedule treatments regularly, between 3-6 months.

What are botox injections for body slimming?
Muscle slimming treatments are injections of Botulinum Toxin A, used to temporarily relax calf or bicep muscles. Tiny amounts of product are injected just under the skin with a very fine needle. They lessen the affected muscle’s ability to contract as strongly, resulting in slimmer arms or legs with less muscle bulk.
Are botox injections safe?
Muscle slimming treatments with Botulinum Toxin are extremely safe, especially in the medically qualified hands of a Nurse Practitioner. I only use genuine Botox which is licensed specifically for aesthetic and cosmetic use.
When will i see my results?
Results of your Botox injections will take a full two weeks to reach their optimum effect. Your treatment results will develop over a few weeks, but it may take 2 sessions to see the muscle reduce in size. I offer a review appointment three weeks post-treatment, which is included in the treatment cost.
How long will my results last?
Results typically vary between clients as everybody processes the toxin differently. As a general rule, you can expect your results to last for around three to four months. After this time, you will require a repeat treatment if you wish to maintain your results.
Do I need to perform any after care for body treatment?
It is recommended not to undergo further facial treatments or facial massage for two weeks following treatment. Keep your face clean and avoid applying makeup until the day following treatment. You will be advised to avoid strenuous exercise and alcohol for 24 hours after your treatment. I will provide you with an aftercare leaflet, and, of course, if you have any questions or concerns please contact me for advice.
