The science of aging
Aging changes in the skin are a group of common conditions and developments that occur as people grow older. The skin can be generally divided into three main parts.
Epidermis
This contains skin cells, pigment and proteins.
Dermis
This contains blood vessels, nerves, hair follicles and oil glands. The dermis provides nutrients to the epidermis.
Hypodermis
This contains sweat glands, some hair follicles, blood vessels and fat.
The modification happens at the dermis level, with a gradual degeneration of the supporting matrix of connective tissue, while the first aesthetic problems occur on the surface: dryness, dehydration, appears of wrinkles and sagging skin, resulting in the alteration of the structure of the face.
