Women’s Health Support
We understand that women’s health is about so much more than skin. Many women experience intimate health concerns at different stages of life, whether following childbirth, during perimenopause or menopause or due to specific medical conditions. These issues can affect confidence, relationships and overall wellbeing, but effective support and treatments are available with us.
All of our intimate women’s health treatments are carried out by Jodie, our trained Medical Aesthetic Practitioner and Registered Midwife. Every journey begins with a private consultation, where you’ll have the opportunity to talk openly about your concerns, ask questions and explore the treatment options most suitable for you.
Our women’s health services include:
- Vaginismus Treatment with muscle relaxing injections
- PRP treatment for intimate wellness (vaginal rejuvenation)
- Radiofrequency (RF) treatment for intimate rejuvenation
- Comprehensive Women’s Blood Tests, including menopause profiling
Vaginismus Treatment with Muscle Relaxing Injections
What is Vaginismus?
Vaginismus is a condition where the muscles around the vagina involuntarily tighten or spasm. This makes penetration painful, difficult or sometimes impossible. It can interfere with tampon use, smear tests, gynaecological exams and sexual intercourse.
The tightening response isn’t something you can control. Vaginismus is often linked to fear, anxiety, trauma, or physical factors.
How Can Muscle Relaxing Injections Help?
Muscle relaxing injections work by reducing the overactivity of the pelvic floor muscles. When carefully administered into the affected area, they can:
- Interrupt the spasm cycle
- Relax overly tight muscles
- Allow gentle penetration without pain
- Retrain the muscles and nervous system
This medical approach is often considered when other options (such as pelvic floor physiotherapy or dilator training) haven’t worked, or in combination with them.
What happens during treatment?
Consultation – Your Medical Practitioner will assess your symptoms, review your medical history and perform an exam (if tolerated).
Procedure – A small dose of muscle relaxing injection is delivered directly into the pelvic floor muscles under.
Common Questions
What to Expect After Treatment
- Muscles usually begin relaxing within 5–10 days
- Full effect is seen after 2–4 weeks
- Many women are able to start using dilators or have pain free intercourse within weeks
- Results typically last 3–6 months, though for many women, symptoms don’t return even after the effect wears off
Is this a cure for vaginismus?
It is not a permanent cure, but for many women it breaks the cycle of fear and pain, making further progress with therapy or dilators possible.
Does it hurt?
Discomfort is minimal, and local anaesthesia ensures comfort during the procedure.
How many treatments will I need?
Some women need only one session. Others may benefit from a repeat treatment at 6 months. It is often combined with psychosexual therapy or physiotherapy for best results.
Who is this treatment for?
This may be suitable if you:
- Have tried dilators, physiotherapy, or CBT without success
- Experience severe vaginal muscle tightness
- Are unable to tolerate gynaecological exams or intercourse
- Are ready for a direct, medical approach
Who should avoid it?
You may not be suitable if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have a known allergy to the product used in muscle relaxing injections
- Have certain neurological or muscular conditions
- Have an active infection in the vaginal area
- Are under 18 years old
Aftercare and Support
- Start gentle dilator therapy once advised by your practitioner
- Avoid intercourse or tampon use for a few days
- Attend follow up appointments
- Emotional and psychological support is strongly recommended
PRP Treatment for Intimate Wellness
What is PRP?
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is a natural treatment that uses your own blood’s healing properties to regenerate and rejuvenate tissue.
In intimate areas, PRP can:
- Boost collagen production
- Improve sensitivity
- Increase hydration
- Restore tissue health
- It’s a safe, non-surgical, chemical free option for vaginal rejuvenation.
What Can PRP Help With?
PRP may improve:
- Vaginal dryness
- Mild urinary incontinence (stress or urge leakage)
- Reduced sensitivity or difficulty achieving orgasm
- Tissue laxity after childbirth or menopause
- Pain during intercourse (dyspareunia)
- General sexual wellness and confidence
How Does It Work?
- A small blood sample is taken (like a normal blood test).
- The blood is spun in a centrifuge to separate platelets and growth factors.
- The PRP is gently injected into specific areas of the vaginal wall and clitoral complex.
- Growth factors stimulate collagen, blood flow, nerve regeneration, and tissue repair.
- This encourages natural healing, hydration, and tightening over time.

What Can Radio Frequency (RF) Treatment Help With?
- Vaginal tightness and elasticity

- Sexual sensation and sensitivity
- Mild urinary incontinence
