News from the industry:

There has been a huge step forward in the aesthetics industry as the government has finally agreed to ban all Botox and cosmetic filler treatments for children. This comes as a huge relief since in 2016 it was reported that 100,000 under 16’s had already had some cosmetic enhancement – most commonly fillers.

The law will make it a criminal offense to perform these treatments on anyone under the age of 18. Here at Helen Hunt Medical Aesthetics, we fully support this transition and are relieved that children will now be protected from social pressures and immoral practitioners.

Our Focus for June: Acne Treatments

This month we’re focussing on acne. Over 90% of the world’s population have experienced acne in their lifetime with this having an obvious impact on confidence and self-esteem. Helen Hunt Medical Aesthetics are proud to offer many treatments to help you control your acne and we are committed to finding the best course of action for your individual needs.

When we treat your acne a lot of things are important to consider, and we think it’s vital to keep you fully informed! Firstly, Helen will identify your specific type of acne. This may be non-inflammatory characterised by blackheads and whiteheads or inflammatory which may result in painful pustules.

To make this assessment, Helen will do some visual observations followed by a simple questionnaire that will help her to get to the bottom of things. If you want to discuss this further, please contact us to arrange a free phone or online consultation at your convenience.
